Reminders and routines

One-off and repeating reminders, reminders that do a task at their time, follow-ups and check-ins, and /tasks to see and change them.

Ask in your own words: “remind me to call the bank tomorrow at 10”, “every weekday at 8, remind me to take my vitamins”, “in 20 minutes, tell me to take the bread out”.

Me: Every Monday at 9, remind me to send the weekly report
Tamo: ⏰ Every Monday at 09:00, next Mon 26 Oct: Send the weekly report
Cancel
Tamo: ⏰ Send the weekly report09:00

Each new reminder comes as a card with a Cancel button.

When they can be

  • Once: at a date and time, or “in N minutes”.
  • Repeating: every day, every weekday, on given days of the week (“Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8”), or on a day of the month from the 1st to the 28th.
  • Up to a year ahead.

Times follow your local clock, so 08:00 stays 08:00 when the clocks change or when you move. Tamo needs your time zone for anything but “in N minutes”; if it doesn’t know it yet, it asks where you are.

Reminders that do a task

A reminder can do something at its time instead of only saying something: “every morning at 7, look up today’s weather and tell me if I need an umbrella”, “on Fridays, sum up the news on the EU AI Act”. When it runs, you get what Tamo found:

Tamo: ⏰ Rain from about 15:00 in Kadıköy, so take an umbrella. 14° and cloudy until then.07:00

These run while you’re away, so they only read: they open sites you’ve allowed (Tamo asks about each site when you set it up), search your memory, and can’t buy, send or change anything. If there’s nothing worth saying, they stay quiet.

Follow-ups

When Tamo says it’ll come back to something, it sets a follow-up for itself and shows you:

Tamo: 🔁 Sun 18 Oct, 10:00, I'll check: whether the build on main passed
Cancel

If it said it would and forgot, it notices overnight and sets it then, telling you in the morning.

“How did it go?”

Now and then, after a plan you mentioned (a dinner, a trip, an interview), Tamo asks how it went:

Tamo: 💬 How was the dinner with Ayşe and Can?
🔕 Don't ask me these

It only asks about plans you told it about, skips sensitive things unless you talked about them openly, and asks less if you don’t answer. Tap 🔕 Don’t ask me these, or just say so, and it stops. Ask to turn them back on any time.

Quiet hours

Messages Tamo starts on its own, like watch alerts, follow-up results and check-ins, wait between 22:00 and 08:00 your time and come in the morning. Reminders you asked for always arrive at their time.

/tasks

Send /tasks to see everything Tamo is doing for you:

Me: /tasks
Tamo: What I'm doing for you: 1. ⏰ Every Monday at 09:00, next Mon 26 Oct: Send the weekly report 2. 👀 Checking example-shop.com every hour: price under €80 (last: €94, 14:05) 3. 💬 I'll ask how it went, Sun 1 Nov, 11:00: How was the Lisbon trip?
⏸ Pause 1🗑 Delete 1⏸ Pause 2🗑 Delete 2🗑 Delete 3

Repeating reminders and watches can be paused and resumed; anything can be deleted. You can also ask in the chat (“stop the Monday reminder”) or use the dashboard.

You can have up to 50 reminders, watches, follow-ups and check-ins at once, active or paused.

If Tamo was offline

If something was due while Tamo was down, it runs once when Tamo is back, with a note: “(This was due Fri 23 Oct, 09:00; I was offline then.)” Repeating reminders then carry on as usual.
