Connectors

Connect a service's MCP server, sign in once, and Tamo can use its tools. Anything that changes something asks you first, every time.

Many services offer an MCP server: a way for AI assistants to use the service directly instead of through its website. Give Tamo the server’s address and it can use its tools.

Me: Connect https://mcp.example-tasks.com/mcp
Tamo: To connect mcp.example-tasks.com, log in there and allow Tamo. Check that the address says example-tasks.com before you type anything.
🔌 Log in to mcp.example-tasks.com
Tamo: 🔌 Connected example-tasks (mcp.example-tasks.com) Reads: list_projects, search_tasks May change things (I'll ask you each time): create_task, complete_task
Disconnect

Servers that need no login are confirmed with a Yes, do it instead. Only remote servers with an https address can be connected.

Reading and changing

When it connects, Tamo lists the service’s tools in two groups, as the service describes them:

  • Reads: Tamo uses these when it needs to.
  • May change things: Tamo asks you before every single use, showing what it’s about to send:
Tamo: I'm about to use create_task on example-tasks (mcp.example-tasks.com) with {"title":"Renew passport","due":"2026-11-15"}. Allow?
Yes, do itNo

Only the tools listed when you connected can ever be used. If the service adds tools later, connect it again to get them. Reminders and other things Tamo does while you’re away can only use the read tools.

What a service sends back is information, never instructions. Which tools only read is the service’s own word, so only connect services you trust.

Limits and disconnecting

You can connect up to 10 services, Google Calendar included. When a login runs out, Tamo renews it if it can, or asks you to sign in again.

To disconnect, tap Disconnect under the “Connected” message, send /tools, or use the dashboard.
