Google Calendar

Connect your Google Calendar and Tamo can read it. Ask, and once you say yes, it adds, moves, cancels and answers events.

Ask Tamo to connect your Google Calendar:

Me: Connect my Google Calendar
Tamo: To connect Google Calendar, log in there and allow Tamo. Check that the address says accounts.google.com before you type anything.
🔌 Log in to Google Calendar

Sign in to Google and allow Tamo. Leave the calendar access boxes ticked on Google’s screen: without them, Tamo can’t connect and tells you which box it needs.

What Tamo reads

Your list of calendars, the events in any time range (repeating events included), and an event in full: its description, guests, their answers and links. Times are shown in your time zone.

Me: What does my Thursday look like?
Tamo: Three things on Thursday 29 Oct: 10:00–10:30 Standup 13:00–14:00 Lunch with Elif at Çiya 16:00–17:00 Dentist, Moda

What needs your yes

Adding, changing, deleting and answering events. Tamo asks in plain words first, and says when Google will email other people:

Me: Move lunch with Elif to Friday, same time
Tamo: Change "Lunch with Elif" on Thu 29 Oct, 13:00–14:00: move it to Fri 30 Oct, 13:00–14:00? Google will tell elif@example.com.
Yes, do itNo

The first time you approve a change, Google asks you once more, to allow Tamo to edit your calendar. Until then, Tamo can only read it.

Reminders and other things Tamo does while you’re away can read your calendar but never change it.

Disconnecting

Ask Tamo, tap Disconnect on the “Connected” message, use /tools, or the dashboard. Disconnecting also removes Tamo’s access on Google’s side.
